Looking for things to do this Spring Break? Join the fun at Arlington Public Library where we will have a family carnival, two-day camps, and much more! View below to see all the programs that we have going on this Spring Break. All programs with an asterisk “*” require registration.

Sewing Camp for Tweens Day 1*
Monday, March 11, 11 – 1 P.M. at the George W. Hawkes Downtown Library – Tinker Room
Learn how to sew during spring break! Day one of a two-day intensive sewing experience for tweens (ages 9-12). We will first go over the basics of sewing and how to use the machine. We ask that adults attend to assist with the sewing. This class is limited to the first 8 in attendance. Registration is for both days (adults do not need to register).

Pizza Plant Giveaway
Monday, March 11, 11:30 – 1 P.M. at the East Library and Recreation Center
Drop by this spring break and pick up a free plant in this pizza-themed giveaway! Plants may include tomatoes, basil, and oregano. No registration required. While supplies last. 

Spring Family Carnival
Monday, March 11, 5:30 – 7 P.M. at the Southeast Library
Your family is invited to join us for some family fun where games, crafts, and snacks will be available. There will be a storytime at 6:15 P.M. and a drawing for stellar prizes at 6:45 P.M.

Sewing Camp for Tweens Day 2*
Tuesday, March 12, 11 – 1 P.M. at the George W. Hawkes Downtown Library – Tinker Room
Day two of the two-day intensive sewing experience. We will now create a sewing project. Registration is effective from Day 1 of the camp.

Stop Motion Movie Making LEGO Edition Day 1
Tuesday, March 12, 1 – 2:30 P.M. at the Ron Wright Lake Arlington Library
Bring your friends to create the next great LEGO movie! Learn the technique to move each object frame by frame to create a unique short film. This is a two-day camp and participants must attend both days. Activities will include story writing and construction.

Super Smash Brothers Tournament
Tuesday, March 12, 2 – 4 P.M. at the East Library and Recreation Center
Join the battle against others to see who comes out on top. We'll be setting up a bracket-style tournament for teens to compete against each other. We will be playing Super Smash Brothers Ultimate for the Switch. No Switch required to participate.

Stop Motion Movie Making LEGO Edition Day 2
Wednesday, March 13, 1 – 2:30 P.M. at the Ron Wright Lake Arlington Library
Day two of the two-day LEGO camp! Participants must attend both days. Activities will include techniques in manipulating LEGO characters and scenes, and short video making. Participants will use their engineering, math, science, and literacy skills.

Squishmallow Trade*
Wednesday, March 13, 6 – 7 P.M. at the George W. Hawkes Downtown Library
Are you a Squishmallow fan? Bring some of your new or gently loved squish that you'd love to trade, or simply come and hang out and share the squish love with other fans. If you would like a table to display your Squishmallow, please register and include how many Squishmallows you’d like to display.

Calling all young designers and architect enthusiasts! This two-day camp provides the first steppingstones into dreaming up our own houses, schools, and businesses of the future. We begin by discussing cool architecture and architects of the past and present. Best suited for ages 9 – 12. Registration is for both days of the camp.

Water Works*
Thursday, March 14, 1:30 – 2:30 P.M. at the Southwest Arlington Library
Looking for activities to keep your children entertained during this spring break? 
Have your child join a fun 45-minute adventure to become an engineer and use real pipes to build a supply model to move clean water where it’s needed. In registration, please include all participants (child and adult).

Friday, March 15, 12 – 3 P.M. at the George W. Hawkes Downtown Library – Sun Garden

Architect Camp Day 2*
Friday, March 15, 1 – 2:30 P.M. at the George W. Hawkes Downtown Library
Calling all young designers and architect enthusiasts! This two-day camp provides the first steppingstones into dreaming up our own houses, schools, and businesses of the future. We will now roll up our sleeves and see what it takes to make our own blueprints and 3-D models. Registration is from day one of the camp.

K-Pop Party
Friday, March 15, 2 – 4 P.M. at the Southwest Arlington Library
Join the library for a K-Pop program just for teens! Come dressed as your bias, hang out with other K-Pop fans, and participate in some trivia and arts and crafts.
