Age appropriate story times help build a foundation for a lifelong love of books and reading. They provide a fun atmosphere and safe environment for parent and child to bond and share time together at the library.

Family Storytime (All ages)

Story time for the whole family! Books, songs, rhymes, movement activities and more! This program reinforces the life long love of learning and offers parents, caregivers and children reading techniques.

Storytime

Pops and Tots Bilingual Storytime (0-2)

Pops and Tots is a bilingual storytime designed for dads, grandpas, uncles, or other male caregivers and their babies and toddlers (0-24 months). Fun, informal engagement of fathers in early childhood development is priceless. Pops and Tots provides opportunities for playing, singing, reading, talking, and sharing experiences between fathers and their children. Engaging in these simple activites support the development of early literacy skills and we invite all Pops to experience storytime!

Bouncing Babies (Ages Birth-2)

Develop baby's pre-literacy skills during this special lap sit story time for infants. This story time will introduce a love for books, song, movement, rhythm and rhyme. Improve motor, sensory and social skills during parachute play and play time. 30-45 minutes program.

Toddler Time (Ages 2-3)

Two year olds love to talk and move around. This interactive story time will feature short stories, finger plays, action rhymes and song. Toddlers will be introduced to sounds, letter recognition and new words that will help them grow into pre-readers. 20 to 30 minute program.

Parents Reading With Their Children

Wee Read (Ages 3-4)

Wee Reads focuses on parent-child interaction during storytime. It is an hour long storytime that uses a variety of activities to help preschoolers with language acquisition and pre-literacy skills. Classes will provide parents with information, handmade toys and effective tools to entertain, comfort, observe and interact with their child. These classes are designed for 3-4 year olds but younger children are welcome as well. Hour long program.

Preschool Storytime (Ages 3-7)

Pre-readers will improve on literacy skills needed to get ready for school during preschool storytime. This program will feature longer books and a variety of activities such as puppetry, dramatics, simple crafts, flannel boards and interactive activities. 30 minute program.
