How do I use the
computers at the Library?
You will
need a
Library Card or a
Technology User Card to use the computers at the library. You will also
need to set up a password before you use the computers.
How much does it cost
to use the computers? How much does it cost to print?
It is free to
use the computers. However, there is a fee for printing from the
computers. Black-and-white copies are $0.10 a page, and color copies are
$0.25 a page.
Do you have copy
machines?
All Arlington
Public Libraries have black-and-white copy machines for public use. It
costs $0.10 a copy for letter and legal copies and $0.20 for ledger copies.
Do you have a public
fax machine?
At this time,
the Arlington Public Libraries do not have fax machines for public use.
However, this is a list of businesses in Arlington that have
fax services.
How can I volunteer at
the library?
For
information on how to volunteer at the library, please visit the
Library's Volunteer Page for the City of Arlington, or call
any library location.
How can I get items
that are not in the
Arlington Public
Library's collection?
If you have searched the library's , and we do not own the material you are searching for,
you can request the item through
Interlibrary Loan (ILL). To do this, visit any library's reference desk
and fill out an
ILL form. A fee of $1.00 will be charged at the time you submit your
request. If we are unable to borrow the item you requested, your money will
be refunded.
How can I apply for a
job at the library?
All library
jobs are posted through the
City of Arlington Workforce Service.
Will
I ever receive an e-mail from libhelpdesk?
You will
never receive a generic e-mail from the Arlington Public Library. Even if
you send an e-mail to the helpdesk, your reply will be from a library
employee.
How many items can I
check out?
You may
check out up to 50 items at once. The following is a list of how many of

Can I have a test proctored at the library? Yes. All library locations have librarians that are able to proctor tests. Contact them to set up an appointment to take your test. This service is free. |
