Central Library – The Studio – Youth Technology Center

The Studio is a space for teens ages 13-18 who are interested in digital photography, videography, graphic arts, creative writing, web design and music. The Studio is located in the lower level of the George W. Hawkes Central Library, next to the Young Adult fiction area.
You will need to sign up for a membership the first time you visit. Just make sure you bring your personal library card and a form of photo identification, such as a driver's license or school ID (or your parent/guardian with his/her photo identification). Once you sign up just tell The Studio staff your name to gain access to the area and equipment. Bring your library card in order to log-on to the computers.
School Year Hours
Monday-Thursday 3 p.m. - 9 p.m.
Friday 3 p.m. - 6 p.m.
Saturday noon - 6 p.m.
Sunday 2 p.m. -6 p.m.
Summer Hours (starts June 10)
Monday- Thursday 1 p.m. - 9 p.m.
Friday 1 p.m. - 6 p.m.
Saturday noon. - 6 p.m.

Edit your latest film from the comfort of a bean-bag chair or create a website with your friends in one of our booths with our 10 laptops. We also have a double-screened Mac Creative Station, and a double-screened PC Creative station.
