Flowers are starting to bloom; birds are chirping away, and the outdoors are calling us to enjoy breezy sunny days. Spring Break is just around the corner, and the Arlington Public Library is offering a week of fun for Arlington residents.
Spring break is a great time to unwind and begin working on projects and hobbies or refresh those New Year goals. Get some inspiration and get out of the house with free events, technology to take home, books, toys, and lots more at the library. Spring Break Events
Try something new with creative programs during spring break! These events are offered at different library locations, and many are designed for all ages.
Monday, March 14 – Wednesday, March 15, 11 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.

Intensive sewing experience for tweens and teens (ages 9-17), starting from How to Sew, ending with a completed sewing project. Registration required. Participants must attend all three days.

Stop Motion Movie Making: LEGO Edition

Bring your friends to create the next great LEGO movie! Learn the technique to move each object frame by frame to create a unique short film. Participants must attend both days.

1000 Books Before Kindergarten Backpacks
1000 Books Before Kindergarten is a nationwide challenge, encouraging caregivers to regularly read aloud to their children. Reading often to your baby, toddler, or preschooler will help improve vocabulary, listening, and other vital skills your child needs to succeed in kindergarten. Each of our backpacks has ten engaging, fun books for your new reader to enjoy.
Read it Again Kits, STEM Kits, and 1000 Books Before Kindergarten materials are available thanks to grants from the Institute of Museum and Library Services and the Texas State Library and Archives Commission.
