Service Learning Experience

As a place that bridges the gap from curiosity to opportunity, the library also offers service-learning experiences to students and individuals looking to gain hours for class, or gain professional work experience.

Service-Learning Opportunities involve applying classroom learning in an organization or community and is often paired with a course. Service learning is also completed in a shorter time frame and prepares students for internships. These opportunities typically look like classes or individuals that partner with the library to complete a specific project to meet the needs of the patrons and the library community.

Please note: The library does provide paid internships. Those can be found, when available, on the city of Arlington’s Career Opportunities page.

If you are interested in partnering with the library for Service Learning Experience, please reach out to us at LIBVolunteerCoordination@arlingtongtx.gov
