Women's History Month: Great Women Scavenger Hunt

Learn about the amazing women in history and their accomplishments with this awesome scavenger hunt. This is available all day during open hours at the Ron Wright Lake Arlington Library.

Women's History Month: Family Storytime

 Join our fabulous library staff as we explore stories, rhymes, songs, and more. In this special version of storytime, we will be exploring Girl Power in honor of Women's History month. This program is appropriate for ages 2-4.

Women's History Month: Music 'n Motion Storytime

 Laugh, dance, listen and sing! Enjoy this energetic storytime with your little one where we will be exploring music, rhymes, storytelling, fine-motor fingerplays and gross-motor movement. For ages 1-4. In honor of Women's History Month, we will be exploring the music of Kira Willey, who focuses on mindfulness and wellness in children.

 Learn about different types of poetry, and experiment with creating your own, during this four-part poetry workshop just for teens. For our first session, we will learn about famous female poets. This program is for ages 13-17.

NASA Ambassador Presents: Total Eclipse Over Texas

 Explore women's history and learn about the total eclipse over Texas!  

Maria Blue, NASA's Solar System Ambassador, will provide information about this historical event.  

Women's History Month: Discover STEAM

 This week, we will be exploring women in STEAM and their contributions to the studies of science, technology, engineering, art, and math. These activities are designed for children ages 5 and up with some parent help.

As we close out Women’s History Month, Arlington Library Public Library proudly presents a transformative healing-through-reading-writing-and-storytelling workshop on Food, Eating, and Hunger with award-winning author and former food addict, Michelle Petties!

In this enlightening two-hour interactive session, Michelle will guide you through her proven process for unveiling and reshaping limiting beliefs surrounding food, eating, and hunger. It's your opportunity to rewrite your beliefs about food and, more importantly, your relationship with yourself and those around you.

A signed copy of Michelle's book, "Leaving Large - The Stories of a Food Addict,” will be given away!
