Teen Book Finder (YALSA)

Description

This database provides access to all of the Young Adult Library Services Association's annual selected book and media lists, awards, and honorees. These resources are developed by library staff and educators to support the collection development and readers' advisory work of library staff.

These books and media have been selected for teens from 12 to 18 years of age, and span a broad range of reading and maturity levels. We encourage adults to take an active role in helping individual teens choose those books that are the best fit for them and their families.

ABCmouse (In Library Use Only)

Description

ABCmouse.com helps kids learn to read through phonics, and teaches lessons in math, social studies, art, music, and much more. Over 5,000 learning activities (fun games, puzzles, art, etc.) for kids ages 2-7+.

Brainfuse HelpNow

Description

HelpNow is a service offering live tutoring for students in grades K-12. It also has resources for college students. All students can access the service at any Arlington Public Library location or at home with an Arlington Library Card. Arlington ISD students can access the service from home with an Arlington student ID.
